Song of the Day: "Lights"

It's here! Today is the day of the big Journey, Foreigner, and Night Ranger concert! And no matter who you are, you can celebrate because either:

A. You love them all as much as I do and can't wait to go, or

B. You hate them all or you're simply sick of their songs being featured and you can't wait for them to stop being posted!

I feel like Will Schuester from Glee: "I found a Journey song we haven't done yet!"

Seriously, though, today's song is "Lights," and I think it's appropriate because while it's definitely not the best nor the most loved Journey song, it's like the caboose of the Journey hits. If this week had been a Journey workout, it would be the cooldown, hands-down:

When the lights go down in the City
And the sun shines on the bay
I want to be there in my City
Ooh, ooh

So you think you're lonely
Well my friend I'm lonely too
I want to get back to my City by the bay
Ooh, ooh

It's sad, oh there's been mornings out on the road without you,
Without your charms,
Ooh, my, my, my

The song may be about San Francisco, but it also sort of represents Journey's beginnings (particularly with Perry) and therefore, Journey themselves--who will be in Denver TONIGHT!
